Next step will be to add blocks of floatation foam, dry fit decks and then finally lay the decks permanently in place. Need to stock up on cement blocks.

The Brackets are Finished
Clamps removed, nerds sanded off, brackets trimmed where needed and all the mess and tools removed, vacuumed and each bay ready to be epoxy sealed so that there are no spots of bare wood. All will be sealed with epoxy.

Brackets added to the top edge of stringers and frames
Many many pieces of 3/4 x 3/4 pine added to beef up the top edge of all structural parts. Epoxy glue thickened with wood flour and pvc clamps to hold all in place. this is the last step before laying the decks, well almost the last step. I have quite a lot of good closed cell foam that I am thinking of laying in all of the empty spaces under the deck except for near the bow where I will have an anchor locker.

Redesigned the foredeck
Completely redesigned the foredeck of the GT22. The usable area will be a five inch raised deck extending 6 and 1/2 feet fwd. of the cabin, with another step of 7 inches to a 4 foot raised deck. Sounds confusing? Before this mod the foredeck was too close to the DWL and self bailing scuppers would have let waves wash across the deck. No danger except for wet feet. Now the scuppers will be about 8 inches above the water line and should lead to a much dryer deck. Pictures to follow.
