Skeg
The skeg is just set in place to see how it fits, will need more work but pretty close. It is made form a salvaged fir floor joist, old growth, nice piece of wood.
this is a modification of the original design with the pilot house moved closer to the stern and directly above the LCB (longitudinal center of bouancy)
